Lowering Brother Baud Rate

I have a Brother MFC-8840DN and need to lower the baud rate and take
ECM mode off (for internet faxing). Does anyone have the steps to this
from the control panel?

For Brother MFC 3240C abd 3340CN in order to work with some VoIP fax,
Earthlink recommends to change the baud rate on the fax machine to 9600
Press Menu/Set, 2, 0, 1
That will get you to Compatibility menu.
Using arrows select Basic (or Normal) and click Menu/Set to accept the
changes.
Basic (or Normal) means 9600 baud, High means 33600 baud and Normal is
14400 bps.

They also recommend to investigate the CODEC for the machine. it should be
something like g711U, but I don't know what to do with it after you find
out.
